I don't know how the weather was in your area, but here, it was a beautiful weekend. The temperatures were up around 80. There was a bit of rain on Friday evening, a little mid-day Saturday and some on Sunday at bedtime, but otherwise the sun was shining. This week marks the beginning of the fall sport wind down. We played our last regular season soccer game for my son last weekend and have playoffs coming up this next weekend. My daughter still has a couple of weeks to play soccer. Baseball has one more week of regular season before the playoffs begin.
The weather this week is starting to return to more seasonable temperatures, although we are still expected to be in the low 70s this week. The changing in temperatures really has me excited about fall foods and flavors. It even inspired me to try something new...I tried Brussels Sprouts at dinner on Sunday. They weren't bad, my son even tried them and then asked for a serving. It's not something I'm likely to make weekly, but now at least I won't shy away from them.
