It was a wonderful and busy weekend. We celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday with family. We enjoyed a turkey and all the fixings, including homemade rye bread that is very similar to the bread that my grandma used to make. My mom said it was pretty close and since she ate the bread for many more years than I, I like that she agreed that it was pretty close.
With a large bird and a smaller than normal crowd, we will be having turkey a few times this week.
I will share about the party and cake later - I am pretty proud of my cake.
It is a reasonably quiet week ahead. No sports and no meetings are currently on the schedule. I am looking forward to a 'normal' week.

I’m stopping by for a visit from Organizing Junkie, Menu Plan Monday.
It's nice to have some meals already prepared for those rough pain days. I can just ask the hubby and son to heat it up.
This time of year can definitely add up. I’m working on my shopping lists for this week, looking for sales. We’re not having turkey this Thanksgiving. The choices are pizza or homemade lasagna. We’re turkey’ed out!
Everything looks so delicious.
I hope you have a wonderful week.
