It was a good weekend. We really didn't have anything planned for much of the weekend and as a result, we were able to get a good amount done. Saturday morning we relaxed and then after lunch, we headed down the street to a vacant parking lot so that the kids could try out the new Ripstick and Scooter that they had received at Christmas. It was good to get out and play and nice that it was dry enough to play with new toys. Saturday afternoon, I ran errands and picked up good deals at CVS and Sav-A-Lot. Saturday late afternoon, we headed to a neighboring community and got to explore the amazing ice sculptures that were part of their Ice Festival and ate at Dan's Dogs. They have great hot dogs, I had a Greek One - it was topped with lettuce, feta, and green onions. Yum! Saturday evening was a movie night in.
Sunday I had a chance to vacuum and to bake this super, yummy Cream Cheese Pound Cake to take to share at the Bible Study.

Breakfast is cereal or oatmeal each morning, although sometimes at school my daughter will have pancakes or french toast. For my son, lunch is either the menu item at school or a packed lunch with some type of sandwich. Lunch for my husband and me is typically sandwiches, frozen meals or leftovers.

I love taking walks. I can feel the stress and anxiety leaving my body. And it's nice listening to nature. It's better than a pill.
