Tomorrow is Veterans Day. A day that has been set aside to show respect and share thanks for those that have and are serving our country. A day to recognize all of the Military Vets and active Military as well, who help to protect our freedom.
You can visit the official US Department of Veterans Affairs and Wikipedia for some information and history about Veterans Day, which is celebrated elsewhere in the world as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, in honor of the Armistice that was signed on November 11, 1918 ending World War I. It even explains that the official spelling does not contain an apostrophe.
Cheerios is helping to make it easier to send a simple Thank You to a military family. During the months of October and November, 2011, specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal will feature Cheer postcards on the front of the box. Cut out the postcard, write a quick note of encouragement or thanks, add postage and drop the pre-addressed postcard it in the mailbox. The USO will deliver it to a military family. "In addition, Cheerios is sending a little extra Cheer to help fund programs for our military families. For each postcard received by November 30, 2012 from a participating cereal box, Cheerios will donate $1 to the USO. Cheerios guarantees a minimum of $150,000 donation and a $250,000 maximum donation based on the number of postcards the USO receives."
You can earn more on Cheerios.com and can find them on Facebook.
