I can hardly believe that it is already the week of Thanksgiving. Seems like just yesterday, we were wrapping up summer and getting back to school. I know that I for one am looking forward to a break.
I got an awesome deal on ground turkey this week. About 18 months ago, I won a year's supply of turkey from Jennie-O. Well, those coupons are nearing expiration, so when I saw a sale this week, I quickly shared a number with friends and then headed out to pick up some turkey. I was able to get 23, 20 oz packages, so just under 29# of ground turkey for $12.27 OOP. (you see, the coupons weren't for "free", they are for $3/ea) We should be set on ground turkey for a while. It certainly will be strange when I have to buy ground meat again. I haven't had to buy any since I won this contest.
