Another weekend is done. It amazes me how quickly time seems to fly. It was a good weekend, mostly spent just hanging out.
I did a quick trip to the grocery store Sunday to pick up some stuff that we needed for this week, although for the most part, we are eating from the freezer stock. I did get some good deals on cereal and am considering another visit later this week. I got 3 boxes of Chex cereal for $4 after a $1/3 coupon ($1.33/box) and 5 boxes of assorted Post cereals (including 2 Banana Nut Crunch) for $16.67, but got back two $4 coupons, one for milk and one OYNO ($1.73/box after the two catalinas) - not awesome, but BNC is one of those cereals that never seems to be on sale and generally seems to be over $3 / box without sales.
Hard to believe that we are less than two weeks away from Thanksgiving. The kids have started singing a little bit of Jingle Bells and I've heard similar music in the stores. I heard yesterday that the Hallmark holiday shows are already on. We are swapping DVR boxes because we seem to have issues with ours, so once we have a new one, I am going to start setting up those holiday shows to record. I may not get a chance to watch them for a few weeks, but it is nice to have them ready when I am.
As I mentioned, dinners this week are mostly from the freezer. In fact, I believe that in most cases I already have the meal prepped and just need to finish it. Makes for an easier time in the evening.

Breakfast is cereal or oatmeal each morning, although sometimes at school my daughter will have pancakes or french toast. For my son, lunch is either the menu item at school, a packed lunch with some type of sandwich. Lunch for my husband and I is typically sandwiches, frozen meals or leftovers.
