Sunday afternoon was all about errand running and getting things done. Included in my stops was a trip to CVS. I discovered that the 20% coupon that I had requested did not work on anything in the sale ad, even if it was still at regular price (i.e. the Nivea offer, the items weren't on sale, just part of an ECB deal). The cashier didn't actually scan my coupon, but the coupon is expired now, so I will take her at her word. I also discovered that I had only big ECBs, so I had to rearrange on the fly. I miscalculated and put too much in the first transaction, which meant more out of pocket for me. Oh well! Still, I got good deals.
Transaction #1
1 - Nivea body wash
2 - Nivea Lip Gloss
3 - American Greetings cards (couldn't find 99c holiday, so went with birthday again)
2 - Colgate Optic
-$1 Nivea body wash IP
-$1 Nivea lip care IP
-$1 Nivea lip care IP
-$1 Colgate Optic mfg coupon
-$1 Colgate Optic mfg coupon
Paid with $10 and $2 ECB and $3.06 OOP. Earned $3, $3 and $5 ECB.
Transaction #2
2 - Speedstick
Paid with $3 and $3 ECB (one adjusted down) and $.39 OOP (all tax). Earned $4 ECBs.
Transaction #3
2 - Speedstick
Paid with $5 ECB and $1.37 OOP ($.98 plus tax). Earned $4 ECBs.
I started the day with $12 ECBs and ended with $8 ECBs. I spent a total of $4.82 OOP and saved $38 according to my receipts.
I need to go back and read what qualifies in the Beauty Club spending. I bought nail polish last week and none of that showed up. I will see if the body wash or the lip gloss does.
