After a very busy weekend with several and rotating house guests, Sunday was a relatively unharried sort of day. I think I responded by being a little lazy - although, in retrospect, I actually got a lot done. I did 4 loads of laundry, including washing and remaking 2 beds. My daughter and I had lunch with friends and then went grocery shopping. It was a bit of an unusual shopping trip - I didn't have a single coupon with me and hadn't even looked at the ad. I knew that this week my plan was to use up things in the refrigerator and pantry, so I wasn't too worried about not preparing. While shopping, we tried this pumpkin pasta sauce. My daughter really enjoyed it and wanted me to buy it, so I figured we will give it a try. They were serving it on mini-ravioli, so we grabbed some of them too. A little too fall for me right now, so it might be a couple of weeks before we make it for dinner.
Last week, I made a copycat dish to one that we had had when we went out to dinner the prior week. It was a pasta with a lemon sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes and chicken. I hope to get the recipe posted soon.
This week is another busy week with kid's sports, community events and I'm sure there is more.

Breakfast is cereal or oatmeal each morning, although sometimes at school my daughter will have pancakes or french toast. For my son, lunch is either the menu item at school, a packed lunch with some type of sandwich. Lunch for my husband and I is typically sandwiches, frozen meals or leftovers.
