Life has been so crazy lately! The thing that worries me is that it is starting to occur to me that this is not an exception, but the new normal. Oh no! I feel like I have one hundred and one things to share, and no time to share any of it!
Here in North East Ohio, we have had a record setting April - more rain has fallen this April then in any other year. At least since the late 1800s, when they started tracking those things. Just this morning, we eclipsed 1961, which previously had been the record rain fall for April. All of this rain has been delaying the start of soccer season...day by day it seems that another practice or game is cancelled.
Related, in an odd back door sort of way, but part of the story none-the-less, recently, the kids have started requesting the old nursery rhyme CD in the car. We used to listen to it non-stop and then we stopped and started listening to other music. For whatever reason, they were singing a song and then asked me if I could play it and now we listen to it frequently.
One of their favorite songs has been Who Built the Ark. Of course, we are all singing along with it in the car and with all the water it seems like a timely song to be singing. Anyway, to get back to my point (not really much of a point, but still what I was writing towards!), today, when I got into my car and started it u to head home, I caught the end of some bit on the radio, all I heard was - where do you think that Noah put the Woodpeckers on the Ark? It was one of those things that well you never think about, but when someone mentions it, you start to wonder, where did he put them? It had to be in the interior somewhere so they could safely make their holes, otherwise, they might have put a hole in the outside and cause the Ark to take on water, which would not have been a good thing.
Of course, talking about woodpeckers, makes me think of Woody the Woodpecker and his crazy laugh.
Clearly, it is time for me to call it a night. What sort of imponderables have you been considering lately?
lol--never thought about that one! :)
