I stopped by CVS yesterday because I was looking for chewable cough medicine and while there, I figured I would see what type of Easter deals that they had. I haven't looked at this week's ad yet (I know, it's Wednesday), so I wasn't prepared to do any of the ECB deals on my visit.
I learned that there really aren't any cough specific medicines for kids in a chewable format. Guess my son is going to have to deal with drinking his medicine if the cough is keeping him up at night.
I learned that there was an okay selection of candy left from Easter, but not any great deals - it is still only 50% off. I did grab a couple of things though.
1 - Easter Smarties
1 - Cadbury Egg
1 - Marshmallow Egg
Paid with $1 ECB and $.38 OOP. I asked about the Easter items and when they might go to 75%, the manager told me that the candy will go to 60% next week, but will not go any deeper than that. He seemed a little bit disappointed, making the comment that he would be sitting on it longer. CVS definitely has pulled back on discounts. I remember when clearance items would get to 90% off. Now, it seems that 50% is the norm, with the occasional 75% off.
