It was a pretty fun and busy weekend, but I did manage to make a quick stop at the grocery store to pick up some of their 2-day seafood sale deals including Tilapia and Shrimp and a quick trip to Sam's Club where I picked up the Parmesan cheese we stopped for, but also some excellent strawberries and blueberries and some assorted bars (NutriGrain, Quaker, etc.) for snacks. I probably will make a mid-week trip to pick up some milk and any ingredients that I am missing.
Last week, there was some sort of a disconnect between my menu and my shopping. I had planned for tacos and for skillet lasagne, but failed to pick up lettuce or tomatoes for the tacos and failed to get the ricotta cheese for the lasagne. I'm not sure why, but we wound up doing some last minute improv to pull together dinner.
