Yoplait Kids Yogurt - a Giveaway

I mentioned the other day how hectic things have been lately. As the kids get older, I find that life is increasingly more busy. I want them to have the chance to try out sports and other activities that interest them and I want them to learn to swim. When my son was younger, most of the activities seemed to be Saturday morning type activities. As he has gotten older, not only have the activities started to include week nights, now they seem to require multiple events in the same week - between practices and games. In addition, with our local pool closing, we have had to start taking swimming lessons at the Y in a nearby community. The class time that works best, considering the drive and the want to keep them both in class at the same time, turned out to be a weeknight.

We don't always have time to have dinner before we head off to practice or swimming. On those nights, I want the kids to have some sort of a nourishing snack that will help keep them going until we get home to have dinner as a family. I offer them a handful of choices - cheese, fruit and yogurt. All things that I feel good about giving them.

One of the staples on my weekly shopping trip is yogurt. I'm fortunate that my kids will eat most types of yogurt, but still I like to "treat" them to special kids cups that feature their favorite characters. When I'm looking for special kids cups, Yoplait Kids yogurt is an easy choice. There are a variety of flavors that the kids like. Here is some information that Yoplait shared with me on their Yoplait Kids yogurt:

Yoplait Kids has an excellent source of both calcium and vitamin D, a good source of protein and the delicious taste kids demand. It also contains 25% less sugar than the leading kids’ yogurt, and has no high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. Yoplait Kids yogurt is a snack you can feel confident about serving to your kids!

With tasty flavor options, as well as calcium, vitamin D and protein to help build strong bones, Yoplait Kids yogurt is sure to be popular with parents and kids alike. A great value at just $2.00 for a pack of four, this yogurt comes in three delicious flavors, including Strawberry, Strawberry Banana and Vanilla. Kids will love finding their favorite friends, like Dora the Explorer, Lightning McQueen from the hit movie “Cars” and the Disney Princesses, on every cup.

Yoplait Kids has also partnered with well-known mom-blogger, Christine Coppa, Mama's Boy blogger at parenting.com and author of Rattled! (Broadway Books, 2009), who has developed helpful snacking tips for moms with young children including:

My kids have a strict diet due to special needs so they usually don't have snacks, but sometimes after school they get yogurt or light popcorn with a movie, or pickles. Thanks

I like to give my girls fresh fruits and veggies and allow them to pick out their favorite flavors of granola bars, fruit snacks and yogurt when we go grocery shopping. If they ask for a snack, I like to give them healthy alternatives to breads and cereals as well. Thanks so much for hosting this great giveaway!

Dipping is our key to healthy snacks. Whether it is carrots into hummus or celery into peanut butter.
