It was a nice relaxing weekend. We had a soccer game on Saturday morning, but otherwise, there were no official plans for the family. I watched two movies on Saturday evening, I haven't done that in forever. I watched Sweet Home Alabama and Coyote Ugly. It was really nice to just relax and do nothing. My husband wasn't into the movies, but did come and hang out after the movies. I picked up some milk, bread and yogurt while out running errands, but otherwise didn't do a weekly shopping trip. I might head out midweek to pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables, but right now, I still have some left from last week. Next weekend is my husband's birthday. He hasn't decided what he wants for dinner to celebrate - so Saturday could be in or out, depending on what he would like to celebrate.
This week is busy again with soccer and football. So, meals that are quick to put on the table are key to our ability to eat a family meal. Some meals, I prep the night before so that I just have to finish the meal the night we eat it.
Our menu includes turkey only once, in the Sloppy Joes on Monday.
