What a busy few weeks we have had! Two weeks ago, we took some time to head out to Geauga Lake for the day. It was a blast, except I got burnt. It figures - I spend my day making sure everyone applies and reapplies their sunscreen and somehow, when I did my back with the spray, I must have missed some areas and I never bothered to reapply. I'm peeling now. This past weekend was filled with family fun. We took a long weekend, enjoyed lunch with my brother and his family, as well as my parents on Friday. Went to a pool party at my Aunt's house, thrown by my cousin who was in town from NYC. Then, on Saturday, we went to a family wedding (Dad's side) and had a great time. My daughter couldn't get enough of dancing. Then, on Sunday, we had a family picnic (Mom's side) at the community park. Again, the kids had a great time playing with cousins and extended family and enjoying a picnic at the park.
Weeknights have been filled with sports and meetings for the past two weeks. Dinner planning has fallen by the wayside and my lack of creativity when I don't plan is awful. This week, I have planned my menu and that should at least make the evenings go a little smoother.
Turkey is on our menu a few times again this week - Turkey Roast on Tuesday, Turkey Sausage on Wednesday and ground turkey in our taco meat on Friday.
