Life has been so busy lately. My exercise routine has stayed intact (which is a good thing), but my eating has not been so good. With out of town company and large social gatherings two weekends in a row, there was a lot of extra food in the house. This extra food - much of it snacks and sweets, certainly have made sticking to a routine a little more difficult. But, those weekends are behind me now. I need to look back on the experience and realize that I can enjoy myself and throw caution to the wind in my dining, as long as I return to a more restrained dining habit. I can't let those weekends of indulging become the new normal. It was about this time last year that I really started on my weight loss journey. There is something about the end of summer and the return to school, that puts a normalcy and predictability back into my life. This, in turn, helps me maintain better control over my eating.
This week I start anew on my journey with renewed determination to get rid of those last 15# (as well as the couple that snuck up on me over the past two weeks). I have three weeks remaining in P90X and plan to make the most of it.

I can totally relate! good for you to jump back on the wagon!
ReplyDeleteThis is the time of year I lose weight the most easily. Probably due to the return of routine. It still sounds like you're doing great, and you're nearing your goal. I can't imagine how exciting that must feel! Stay motivated and strong.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome that you kept up on your exercising with such a busy couple of weeks! It really sounds like you have a great view of it, knowing that you have to get back on the wagon, but also not beating yourself up for not being perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm also doing P90X, but I have way longer left to go on it. I'm just so happy to meet a fellow P90X mom on Mamavation! :-)
Enjoy returning to your routine, and I look forward to tweeting with you!

Those weekends happen to all of us. Best to shake it off and get back on your plan. As long as they don't become habit, it's not a huge deal :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and great work on the fitness :)
I feel the same way. The summers are just crazy and I don't have a routine. That lack of routine just totally puts all my stuff in disorder. I can't seem to get it right. I'm in a constant state of having to pick myself back up. So good for you for doing that...and good for me too! XXOO
ReplyDeleteOh I love it! How are you liking the P90X program? Hang in there. Finish strong. We are all here for you.
