What a crazy weekend. It's not so much that we did much of anything, but did lots of everything. Between the raindrops we got our share of playing outside. We visited with friends. We shopped.
I made it to the grocery for my regular shopping trip on Saturday this weekend. I was happy to save 61% on my groceries this week, with an out of pocket total of $24. The person who assisted me also mentioned that the store will fill requests on products to carry, so I asked about the Jennie-O Turkey, so that I could use my prize locally.
This week, as you can guess, there is turkey in our menu plan. I made up the meatballs from my spaghetti and meatballs recipe using ground turkey for the lasagna that we are having tomorrow. They crumbled a little bit as I was stirring early on, the turkey meatballs seemed to be softer. The turkey tenderloin that we had on Sunday night was tasty.
