Toy Story Deals

Toy Story and Toy Story 2 are being released today as Blu-ray/DVD combo packs. Each combo pack includes a coupon good for one admission (up to $8.50) to Toy Story 3 when it comes out this summer.

We have the DVDs for both movies, but since we also have a Blu-Ray player, we are planning to upgrade to these two new Blu-Ray/DVD combo packs. Earlier this week, we had printed out the two $5 coupons that are available:
$5/1 Toy Story Special Edition DVD/Blu-ray printable
$5/1 Toy Story 2 Special Edition DVD/Blu-ray printable

Today, though, I learned that through Disney Movie Rewards, you can get a $10 coupon for both movies if you have an old DVD or VHS tape of Toy Story or Toy Story 2. (Thanks Tracey!) If you have the DVD or VHS, head over to Disney Movie Rewards, enter the UPC codes from your old movies and then print the $10 off coupons. If you have both movies, you will be able to print a $10 coupon for each!

Here are the two deals that look the most promising:

Target:

Save $10 instantly WYB Both Toy Story 1 and 2 Special Edition Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Packs at $22.99 each.

Toy Story $22.99
Toy Story 2 $22.99
-$10 Instant Savings wyb Toy Story and Toy Story 2
-$10/1 Toy Story coupon
-$10/1 Toy Story 2 coupon

Pay $15.98.

Toys 'R Us:

Toy Story and Toy Story 2 Blu-ray/DVD combo will be priced at $21.99 each or $16.99 each when you buy both.

Toy Story & Toy Story 2 @ $16.99 wyb both
-$10/1 Toy Story coupon
-$10/1 Toy Story 2 coupon

Pay $13.98.

If you consider the value of the movie vouchers included in each DVD, when you buy both you get up to $17 in free movie vouchers, making them both money makers.

The real question is, will Target price match and allow you to get the $10 instant savings. Or, since the TRU ad specifies $16.99 each wyb both, will they price match that price and then I wouldn't have to worry about the instant savings offer. I am considering calling ahead to find out, as I'd rather not drive to Toys 'R Us if I can get the deal locally at Target.

  1. Wal-Mart price matched the TRU $16.99 ad when I bought both. Then I used the $10 coupons for each one.
