Well, it's back to reality this week. After 11 wonderful days at home with the family, we all are returning to school and work. Nobody is really looking forward to it. It's been very nice having everyone at home and just spending time together. This time of year always seems so sad. All of the decorations are coming down, it's cold outside, it's dark by the time that we get home from work and there are three months until the next holiday at work. We did our grocery shopping early this year so that we didn't have to worry about it on Sunday, our last day off. We are still working on restocking the freezer from the recent defrost. We bought some deals on frozen food to stock up. I've also been making some meals for the freezer.
At our house, the focus is on dinners. I tend to only list the main course and any standard side we have with it. We do still have vegetables and/or fruit with each of our dinners, I just don't always call them out.
