The calendar is broken down into a number of unique page types:
- Priorities and Intentions pages, for reaching life goals
- Space for clearing your head of cluttered thoughts and recognizing all you do each day
- To do list for accomplishing day-to-day tasks
- Personal pages for filling your heart through introspective writing
- Fitness and nutritional tracking sections to help you feel your best everyday
- Calendars for schedules and appointments
The first two pages of the calendar provide guidance on using the calendar. Then, for each month it starts with your monthly priorities and intentions, then a monthly calendar, then for each week there are weekly calendar with a to do list to the left and daily health, fitness, and nutrition tracker, then the clear your head page for recording your thoughts and then the Fill Your Heart page for reflecting on your day and recording memorable moments.
I really like the Health, Fitness and Nutrition tracker. I think that having this all in one place with my schedule and to do list, will help keep me on focus for my goal of weight loss and better fitness. I like that it includes a space for recording the amount of sleep you get each night. I think that recording this would give me a good perspective and help me modify my routine to ensure I was getting the right amount of sleep. I have a theory (mine, but perhaps others support) that the less sleep I get at night, the worse I eat. I think that it occurs on both sides of the night. If I stay up too late, I tend to nibble in an effort to stay awake, which is crazy. Then the next day, I'm tired and turn to food (or empty caffeinated beverage calories) to provide me with energy. Tracking sleep alongside nutrition tracker could help me find that optimal level, where I am still eating healthy and exercising, but provides me with the waking hours I need to get everything done.
The fact that everything is in one place, I hope will help me reach another goal that I seem to always have - Getting Organized. I like the space to record memorable moments - I think this will help me in another goal, organizing photos and putting together scrapbooks - by recording them, I will have the anecdotal comments to add to the pictures that capture our life.
There are three editions being launched - all eco-friendly, green and printed on recycled paper: Full Year 2010 retails for $34.95; January-June 2010 is $18.95; and July-December 2010 is $18.95. The calendar that I received to review is the January - June 2010 version and is a 8 1/2" x 11" soft-sided, spiral bound (double spiral, non-snagging) book.
Daysteps also has an inspirational blog to guide you along. You can find it on the Daysteps website.
After having the chance to see the Daysteps Lifestyle Planner, I am very excited to begin tracking my progress and using this planner come January. The layout is easy to follow and perfect for a busy mom or the busy individual that never gives themselves the chance to sit down. With the upcoming holidays, I'm thinking that this could be an excellent gift idea for the busy women in all of our lives.

I think the To Do list would be my favorite part. I love checking things off as I get through my tasks at work, as it makes me feel like I've accomplished something!
