I am so excited!
I am going to be a participant in the Weight Watchers
Lose for Good Campaign. It runs from August 30 - October 17 with the goal of promoting weight loss and healthy living while raising $1 million for two hunger-fighting charities, Share Our Strength and Action Against Hunger. With the Lose for Good campaign, which is in it's second year, Weight Watchers will be donating $250,000 for every 1 million pounds lost by participants, up to $1 million. As part of the campaign, Weight Watchers is providing me a 3-month membership and access to the online eTools. Not only will I be helping to support a good cause, I will, as a member of Weight Watchers be learning a healthier lifestyle and hopefully, losing the weight that I have been struggling with.
I have used Weight Watchers before and I know that it works. It has been a number of years since I last was a member and I am excited to check out their on-line tools, because I think that they will really help me towards my weight loss goal. They even have a mobile site, which since we finally entered the
21st century, will allow me to easily access the on-line tools wherever I am.
In light of this new opportunity, I have revisited my goal and I think that my new goal is to lose 40 pounds from where I am now. I had lost some weight last spring, but after twisting my knee and not exercising, I lost some workout/eat right motivation and put a portion back on. I'm not sure whether they will agree that is the right goal weight for me, but that will be my starting point.

I won't start going to meetings until probably late next week, but I started my efforts in watching what I eat this week. I pretty much only lost a pound this week, but it is a start.
